For a lot of people volunteering and giving back to their community is something they’d like to do but is inevitably something that gets put on the back burner as their busy lives command all of their free time. That’s why we’re inspired by and so proud to feature our very own Jason Dunn, a reproduction manager here at SE Blueprint for the last fifteen years, in a series of posts detailing his volunteer work and highlighting the many accomplishments his youth football team has achieved in a such a short period!
For the last four years Jason has coached the South Collinwood team of the Cleveland Municipal Youth Football League. The program offers complete football and cheerleading programs for children between the ages of 6-14. Born and raised in Cleveland, he played football at East High School graduating in 1999. He briefly attended Kent State & Tri-C before playing a few years of semi-pro football for the Ohio Cardinals. In 2008 he started the Cleveland Stallions Youth Football & Cheer organization through the Cleveland Municipal Youth Football League. “.I believe in giving back to the community and what better way for me to do it than to empower our youth.”, says Jason.
During his short tenure as head coach Jason has produced incredible results. The Stallions had a phenomenal 2010 season beating Team Canada in the Midwest National Youth Tournament and coming in second in the Cleveland Municipal Youth Football League championships. Look for future posts highlighting these events and featuring more photos of the Stallions in action!
